Milan to offer Bonaventura new contract amid Atletico Madrid interest
The former Atalanta star have set himself such high standards since he joined Milan in 2014 that some of the best European sides out there are reportedly interested in signing him.
The 26-year-old is chased by some Premier League clubs, though the most interested team seems to be Atletico Madrid.
The Colchoneros will ask information about Bonaventura in a meeting that will be held with Milan very soon as the two sides have also to discuss Alessio Cerci’s future.
Bonventura’s San Siro farewell, by the way, appears unlikely as he is arguably one of the best players at the club, so much so Milan will begin contract extension talks with the player’s agent within a few weeks.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder scored 12 goals and registered 11 assists in 53 games with Milan and his current agreement with the club is set to expire in June 2019.
