Milan, the Italian project continues: Gagliardini and Pellegrini are still targets

Milan's ownership future is still in doubt as the closing has been postponed. SES did deposit the additional 100 million euros today as talks continue with Fininvest. In the mean time, Milan are planning this upcoming January transfer market as they will look to keep on signing young promising Italian players. One of Milan's priorities will be to sign a midfielder and other than Fiorentina's Milan Badelj, Atalanta's Gagliardini and Sassuolo's Lorenzo Pellegrini remain to be two targets for Milan.

Atalanta have been one of the surprises this season in the Italian Serie A, and with Kessié likely to leave, they probably won't want to sell Gagliardini right away. This is why Pellegrini would be a more realistic January target (even if Roma have an option on him), other than Badelj (who Milan adore). For the offensive winger position, Papu Gomez and Juan Iturbe are two names that have caught Milan's eye.

Milan are coming off a 1-0 loss yesterday to Roma as they are now three points off Spalletti's club. Milan are still currently in third place, one point up on both Napoli and Lazio.
