Milan still linked with Serie A’s new bad boy

Diego Perotti was shown his second red card of the season less than 30 minutes after his entrance to the pitch in the second half of Genoa’s home game against Bologna.

The former Sevilla FC winger has failed to live up to expectation at the Stadio Marassi this season, after that he scored four goals and registered six assists in 24 Serie A games last year.

With AC Milan in hunt for a creative player who can be deployed both as winger or attacking midfielder, the 27-year-old Argentinean could be the answer to Sinisa Mihajlovic’s needs.

Genoa would allow Perotti’s departure only from next season, but the player wants to leave the club in January and this state of mind could be one of the possible explanation of his excessive frustration.

The only time that Perotti has been sent off was back in 2007, when he was wearing the shirt of Sevilla FC.

By the way, Milan’s n.1 target for the upcoming transfer window seems to be Atalanta’s ace Alejandro Gomez, while Perotti still remains on Watford’s target too.
