Mister X is 1.83 metres tall, has a strong physique, great feet, an EU passport, and thick hair. The news comes directly from coach Max Allegri. In Italy there is no doubt: it's Marek Hamsik, that Milan want.

But Hamsik has not a strong physique...so who is Mister X? Pastore? Too thin. Asamoah and Ganso? They are non-EU. Schweinsteiger and Fabregas? oo short. Witsel? Too tall. 

The only one who fits Allegri's description is Gareth Bale. He's 1.83 metres tall, well built, a good left foot, EU, thick hair. He's not a pure inside, even though Galliani said he could become one. There are rumors of contact already made during the Champions League and then continued in April with a secret meeting in Milan. Galliani and Allegri were in London in the weekend, they probably took advantage by paying a visit to Spurs for the Welsh player.

Bale is very expensive, perhaps too much, but he's exactly what they want. And two factors are crucial: Tottenham will not play the next Champions League and his contract, renewed at the end of winter, is not yet that of a top player.  There is still a chance for Milan.
