Milan, the road is re-opened for Soriano

Milan still could be the destination of a possible move for Sampdoria midfielder Roberto Soriano, who will almost certainly leave the club in the summer.

    INTER RETHINKS
After last January’s much publicised attempt by the nerazzurri to get the 25-year-old and the subsequent falling out between Ausilio and Ferrero, Inter have taken a step back in their quest to try to conclude any possible deal, by deciding to hang onto Marcelo Brozovic; no longer prepared now it seems, to invest the €15 million on a player seen as an exact replica of a player they already have.

    THERE IS MILAN
Between the frosty relationship between Inter and Sampdoria lies Milan. If, as rumours currently state, Vincenzo Montella arrives as replacement for Cristian Brocchi at the San Siro, a possible summer assault on Soriano could be a distinct possibility. The 41-year-old tactician has a €1 million buy-out clause in his contract with the port city club and this could be part of any deal for the midfielder. The name of Soriano is a very real prospect, but it could all depend on the outcome of the proposed sale of the club.
