    Milan on Obiang: the details

In his post-match press conference last night, Milan coach Vincenzo Montella made ironic comments on the possibility of adding one between Rincon, Obiang and Baselli to his squad before the transfer window deadline. In the past few hours, calciomercato.com has learnt that the rossoneri have been offered the possibility to take Pedro Obiang, the ex Sampdoria midfielder currently at West Ham United.

    THE REQUEST OF THE HAMMERS:
Capturing the 24-year-old will be difficult but not impossible; the Premier League side secured the Spaniard’s services last summer for €6.5 million but the player has failed to convince in England. With a contract until 2019, its possible Milan could pick up Obiang for somewhere in the region of €6-7 million and it’s even realistic to think that he could arrive on an initial loan-deal before Wednesday’s deadline.

    MILAN FROZEN:
An operation of €7 million does not appeal to the rossoneri at this moment; the recent arrival of Pasalic has almost completed the club’s midfield line-up for this season. There may still be possibilities however with Galliani set to meet the agent of Jose Mauri; if the 20-year-old Argentine was to be sold, then Obiang’s arrival could become a reality and give Montella his much coveted back-up to Riccardo Montolivo.
