Milan, a last minute bid for Ljajic

Milan re-starts with Montella after yesterday’s dramatic events at Milanello and now it seems the rossoneri are looking to hijack Torino’s bid for Roma midfielder Adem Ljajic. The 24-year-old Serbian is still mulling over a move to Turin after the two clubs agreed a deal in principal.

Roma want to get the business done before the end of tomorrow to close their books for the previous season and satisfy the financial fair-play sanctions that has been placed upon them. La Gazzetta dello Sport states that Montella is a fan of the player ever since the two were together at Fiorentina where Ljajic netted 12 times in 32 games. His contract expires next summer in the capital and the giallorossi are eager to sell for €7 million. It promises to be an intriguing day on the market for both Milan and Roma.
