Milan in crisis as only 10.000 season tickets are sold!

Things really aren't going well for AC Milan at the moment, are they? With the fans set to stage a protest before this weekend's Serie A opener against Torino (and former Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic), another sign of the Rossoneri faithful's discontent is a huge shock for the club's coffers.

The Corriere dello Sport's front page spells it out: only 10.000 season tickets have been sold so far, as expectations seem to have touched rock bottom, despite the club's recent Chinese takeover.

Silvio Berlusconi's Milan are light years removed from the team that boasted a record 73.034 season tickets back in the glory days in the 1990s.

The good news, if you can call it that, is that Andre Ayew's injury may force West Ham to go shopping for another striker, who could be Carlos Bacca. Any proceeds from the Colombian's sale could be reinvested in Simone Zaza, whose move to Wolfsburg recently fell through.

Beyond that, this weekend's starting lineup will only contain one new arrival: Gabriel Paletta, expected to start alongside Alessio Romagnoli. Beyond that, Gustavo Gomez, Leonel Vangioni, Jose Sosa and Gianluca Lapadula are slated to ride the bench. Hardly a rousing endorsement of the Rossoneri's summer transfer window.
