Milan: Honda has decided to leave in January
Italian daily La Repubblica is convinced that Milan striker Keisuke Honda will leave the club in January. The 30-year-old Japanese international, who looks to have been frozen out at the San Siro under new coach Vincenzo Montella, looks likely to seek a move away to try to reignite his career.
In a recent interview, the player’s agent stated that they would sit down with the new Chinese owners when they officially take charge of the club, before making any decision on the future. With the official handover set for December 13, the journal claims that the players mind is already made up and now it’s just a question of where he plays his football in 2017.
There has been reported interest from the Premier League but his most likely destination looks to be the China with several clubs chasing his signature. After joining the club in 2014, Honda is edging ever closer to bidding farewell to the rossoneri.
