Milan, for Diego Lopez the dream is Liverpool
Diego Lopez does not figure in the plans of new Milan coach Vincenzo Montella. The 34-year-old Spanish goalkeeper is currently on tour with the rossoneri but his future lies away from the club. It seemed as though a possible outlet could be Chelsea but new boss Antonio Conte seems contented with Begovic. Now there may be a possibility of heading to the Premier League with Liverpool theoretically, a potential destination.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has already blocked any potential sale of Simon Mignolet with number one Loris Karius out for up to two months with a fractured hand but Lopez hopes that the German tactician may look for another shot-stopper after the erratic form of Mignolet last season. His current deal at Milan expires in 2018 and with a salary of €2.5 million net per season; the rossoneri would prefer him to no longer be on the payroll.
