Keisuke Honda has had an interesting season, to say the least. Disappointing despite being used in a number of roles by Sinisa Mihajlovic, the Japan international found himself in a spot of bother after questioning the club's ambition.

Despite a number of reports indicating that he was on his way out, the former CSKA Moscow star is now set to stay. Milannews.it have confirmed what calciomercato.com correspondents learned in Japan, namely that Honda is determined to prove himself to Mihajlovic and the fanbase.

The 29-year-old's contract expires in 2017. Honda began last season with a bang, netting six goals in his first seven Serie A appearances, and adding three assists in the first eight.

He has attracted interest from West Ham, as well as Tottenham and Everton.
