Milan - Dial N for Niang
A bruising defeat at home to Udinese yesterday for Milan and a result which sees the rossoneri take a step back under the tutelage of Vincenzo Montella. After the contest, the new coach stated that; “Heads and legs always go together, it was a step backwards which hurts, but it was an undeserved defeat although we created little chances. I feel we missed the presence of Niang”.
THE IMPACT OF NIANG:
To understand the importance of the Frenchman’s contribution at the start of the new season, one only needs to look at the statistics of the two games he played against Torino and Napoli. His pass completion percentage was the highest among the strikers and his three shots on target from seven attempts, was more than Bonaventura and Suso combined. Niang is the surprise factor in the team and he was sorely missed yesterday, he is the man Milan must turn too to get back on track.
