Milan coach Mihajlovic safe for now after Berlusconi call
Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is safe for the time being, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport. The former Sampdoria coach was confirmed in his role despite the shocking 4-0 humbling Napoli inflicted on Milan at the weekend.
Publicly, the club has said very little, something which had provoked some suspicion despite the fact that it is pretty standard practice for Milan.
In private, Sinisa MIhajlovic spoke first to Adriano Galliani and Sinisa Mihajlovic on Monday, something they usually do after matches. According to the report, the personal relationship between club and coach has remained good.
The idea is that despite a bad start, this Milan team has what it takes to get back up on its feet. The next three games will be key, starting from an away trip to Torino, followed by two home games against insidious opposition in Sassuolo and Chievo.
Having spent a few days with his family in Rome, Mihajlovic has returned to training, though the team’s internationals were absent.
