Milan, what a coup! Taiwo for free
AC Milan are following Taye Ismaila Taiwo, the international Nigerian left side defender of Olympique Marsiglia. Born in Lagos on April 16 1985, could arrive at Milan for free. Additionally he could also be an EU player.
Calciomercato.com spoke with his agent Marc Formeaux: "The players coming from the countries that signed the Cotonou Agreement have the same rights of EU players. Italy considers the players coming from Nigeria as non-EU. The solution for Milan could simply be asking UEFA or the Italian State to register the player. The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) would be obliged to accept the player as an EU, in accordance to provision 13.3 of the Cotonou Agreement".
