Milan: chance for Romagnoli. Juve: Cuadrado farther?
As reported earlier today, one of AC Milan’s priorities for the current transfer window is the signing of a new center back, and, as well known, one of their main targets for such position is AS Roma 20-year-old Alessio Romagnoli: as reported by gianlucadimarzio.com, the giallorossi are ready to swoop again on Cagliari 28-year-old Davide Astori, who has already played on loan for them during the last season and is still a target for Fiorentina, but no longer for Napoli and Juventus: the signing of the Italy international could ease the departure of Romagnoli himself. Another target for the rossoneri remains Paris Saint-Germain 33-year-old striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and –as outlined by Tuttosport- the Lombardian club keeps on working undercover to bring the Swede back to “San Siro”, even if the decisive attempt will probably be made next week, when the Ligue 1 defending champions will carry out the negotiation for Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria, and will probably decide to let the former Barcelona player leave. Milan also hope to sign Zenit St. Petersburg 26-year-old midfielder Axel Witsel, but the Russian club’s General Manager Maxim Mitrofanov has told Tass that the Belgium international is worth 100 million euros. Serie A defending champions Juventus are seeking a skilled player for their offensive line, and are also thinking about Chelsea 27-year-old Juan Cuadrado: as reported by the Guardian, the bianconeri have asked the Colombia international on loan, but the Blues are ready to let him go only on permanent basis and beyond the payment of 25 million euros.
