Milan back in the race for Man Utd fringe player, Spurs target Schneiderlin

AC Milan are back in the race for Manchester United wantaway Morgan Schneiderlin.

Wapping tabloid The Sun (via MilanLive.it) claim that the Frenchman is on his way out of Old Trafford, with Everton one of the clubs in the race to land him.

Arriving from Southampton in 2015 for 35 million, the 27-year-old has only played 11 minutes this season with the Red Devils, rapidly being mentioned as one of new Coach Jose Mourinho’s expendables.

Schneiderlin has also lost his place with the French national team, something that has seen him be linked with former Coach Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham, the two having worked together at Saint Mary’s.

Milan need a central midfielder who can replace Riccardo Montolivo, who went down with a horrible injury in the early Fall, and is likely to miss the rest of the season.

Their other options in the role, Manuel Locatelli and Marko Pasalic, are both young, the latter arguably out of position anyway.
