Milan, Bacca: "With Montella I'm having fun. Last season I just ran and ran"

After a chaotic summer which saw him on the verge of a departure from the club, Milan striker Carlos Bacca has told La Gazzetta dello Sport how he is now enjoying life under new coach Vincenzo Montella. He began however, by explaining that; “I was on the transfer market in the summer as the club needed cash and they knew that my departure would ease the financial burden. Now they’ve found a different way to solve the problem and I feel very happy once again”.

    MONTELLA & MIHAJLOVIC:
Bacca stated that; “I did receive offers but none of them convinced me 100% but Montella has now done his part; with him I’m enjoying my football as I don’t just run and run like Usain Bolt. I like his game because the team is built around attacking and I get more chances to score. Last year was much more complicated and I don’t mind saying this now. Montella told me clearly that he didn’t want me to leave, he considers me one of the leaders of the team”. He continued by explaining that; “Now there is much more joy in the dressing room and I want to arrive in Europe with this club and I’m proud to be here”.
