Milan: As Bee's star wanes, US investment fund steps in
Oh, and the Mr Bee situation isn't exactly rosy. Previously on the brink of buying 48% of the club's shares, negotiations have stalled, due in part to the crisis that has hit Asia's markets. Silvio Berlusconi is looking for a new ally to help him run Milan.
As MilanoFinanza writes, a US investment fund, Madison, has stepped in again. Having already negotiated with Silvio Berlusconi's Fininvest group for Milan, Madison are willing to accept the Cavaliere's conditions, and 48% of the shares.
One thing: unlike Mister Bee's backers, the US fund only values Milan at around €600, 650 million. Very much inferior to the €1bn estimate Berlusconi's put on the club.
