Milan - Corriere dello Sport: Lippi then Jackson Martinez. Gazzetta, Pellegrini a possibility
After the tremors caused by the board of directors yesterday with shareholders seemingly unhappy with Silvio Berlusconi, Adriano Galliani and Barbara Belusconi, the focus at Milan switches once again to the talk of a takeover from the Chinese.
The Corriere dello Sport points to real estate group Evergrande, owner of Chinese Super-League club Guangzhou Evergrande which the journal states, would sanction a deal to bring Marcelo Lippi to Milanello as technical director. His son David, who is a player’s agent, would also arrive at the club and there would still be space for current coach Christian Brocchi, who would be assisted by the 2006 World Cup winning boss. A number one transfer target under the new regime would be Colombian striker Jackson Martinez, who snubbed a move to Milan last summer, choosing instead, to go to Guangzhou.
Even more fascinating is the story carried by La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning which focuses on the potential sale of the rossoneri, highlighting the doubts that Berlusconi has about relinquishing his 70% controlling stake in the club. Another name linked with the bench at Milanello, is outgoing Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini and the pink paper doesn’t rule out the possibility of a coaching duo; with Lippi also working alongside the Chilean.
