Mihajlovic: 'Liverpool, Man Utd target not worth €90m’

Torino boss Sinisa Mihajlovic talked to media ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A clash against Chievo. The Serbian manager is enjoying Andrea Belotti’s terrific form so far this season. Scorer of 10 goals in 12 appearances, Belotti is Serie A’s leading scorer alongside Edin Dzeko and Mauro Icardi.

The 22-year-old striker is imposing himself as one of the best – if not the best – Italian striker at the moment and Torino are said to be willing to offer their star striker a new contract with a huge release clause included in it, probably in the region of € 90 million.

Mihajlovic claimed that nobody’s worth as much, telling journalists: “Today’s transfer fees are exaggerated. Players’ prices are determined by the market but I think that nobody’s worth as much, not even Paul Pogba or Gonzalo Higuain. If they’d worth as much they should score four goals per game and win games on their own. Then, if there are bidders willing to invest as much, presidents must include these kinds of release clauses.”

Belotti is said to be a top target for Liverpool and Manchester United even if Everton have recently joined the race to sign the Italian striker as scouts of the Toffees were spotted at Crotone’s Scida stadium last week to watch Torino’s 2-0 win over the local side with both goals came courtesy of Belotti.
