    Mihajlovic: ‘Maksimovic's dead to me’

Sinisa Mihajlovic has not taken Nikola Maksimovic’s behaviour very well. The Serbian boss was left disappointed by his compatriot’s decision not to join his teammates for a pre-season training last month, forcing the club to sell him.

Mihajlovic has met the press ahead of tomorrow’s Bologna clash and was of course asked questions over their next opponents as well as on the granata transfer strategies.

“We have a quality squad, but there are stronger teams than us. I respect Bologna, but I think we are better than them, though the pitch is the ultimate judge.”

“It was hard to accept the defeat against AC Milan, but it was useful to understand and correct our mistakes, that’s how we can improve. I’ve shown my lads that we were better than AC Milan in terms of ball possession on their half.”

“Belotti deserved Italy national team call-up. He’s a vital player for us and Ventura knows him very well. I believe many other players can have a chance of getting a call-up in the future.”

“I haven’t spoken with Maksimovic for ages, he’s dead to me.”
