Mihajlovic explains substitutions: ‘Obi not fit to be a footballer, Ljajic had to go to the toilet!’

Mihajlovic explains substitutions: ‘Obi not fit to be a footballer, Ljajic had to go to the toilet!’

Sinisa Mihajlovic is always entertaining, isn’t he?

Beyond congratulating Inter following the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 win over Torino on Wednesday evening, the Granata Coach had some sharp words for some of his players when he was asked to justify his substitutions.

“If Obi needs to come off the pitch after sixty minutes it means he can’t play football, he may as well become an accountant. I can understand if it happened to a 36-year-old like Moretti, but not someone like Obi. I had to waste a substitution”.

The Nigerian wasn’t the only early substitute, Iago Falque’ lasting only a half before being taken off.

“If I regret starting him? Forget about it, I’ll skip this question, it’s a lady asking, and I don’t want to answer in a bad way…”

Having used their three subs early, Torino were left with ten men when Adem Ljajic seemed to limp off at the death… only for Mihajlovic to provide us with a curious insight:

“Adam had diarrhoea, he really needed to go,” the Serbian Coach explain in a presser, “He had stomach pains and if he didn’t go, he’d have done it on the pitch…if you know what I’m saying”.
    We do, Sinisa, we do...
