Messi: ‘I am going to support Atletico in UCL final’

Here’s what Lionel Messi told ESPN about Barcelona’s Champions League campaign: “Facing elimination was hard. We played better than Atletico in the return game, but the Vicente Calderon game was complicated. Colchoneros are difficult to beat and Simeone has to be given praise and credit for the team’s results.”

“Finishing the season with two trophies would be amazing. We have to finals left and winning both games would be great. Things have changed after the last International break, we lost ground, but luckily we recovered.”

“People in Barcelona hope Real Madrid win nothing this season and of course I’d be happy to see Atletico winning the Champions League final.”
