Mauro Icardi could leave Inter without Champions League football

Mauro Icardi is not in the form of his life as he started from the bench Inter’s last two disappointing fixtures against Juventus and Milan.

Things went from bad to worse when the Argentinean fluffed a penalty after he had came off the bench in the Milan Derby.

Inter have reportedly turned down a € 30 million offer coming from a Premier League club in the deadline day, but a higher bid could convince Erik Thohir to sell last year’s Serie A top scorer next season, especially if Roberto Mancini won’t manage to qualify for the Champions League.

In case the Nerazzurri will miss their seasonal objective, they’d probably have to do without some of their stars as participating in the Europa League does not provide as much money as playing in Europe’s elite tournament.

Rumors from various Italian papers also claim that the 22-year-old is not on good terms with manager Roberto Mancini and could leave anyway at the end of the season with Diego Pablo Simeone who is eager to coach him next year.
