Marotta: "We are optimistic for Dani Alves. Not only Morata, other business with Real"
Juventus are closing in on Dani Alves. Next week there could be some exciting developments in one of the biggest stories in the transfer window so far. CEO Beppe Marotta has been speaking to Sky Sport and he started by explaining that; “"Next year we have an obligation to try to win a European competition”. Dani Alves? We would like him and I am very optimistic. Morata? We have not spoken with Real Madrid at the Champions League Final, we will next week. We will evaluate other possibilities with them also. Isco? It’s premature to start listing names. Morata however is a player we would be delighted to keep, but we must see what Real Madrid decides to do”. He was also asked about two more high-profile summer targets to which he replied; “ Mascherano and Andre Gomes are difficult objectives, even if they are both very interesting players. We will make a few signings but only for players of great quality. We must reduce the squad numerically also for Serie A next season. Lichtsteiner? He will remain at Juve".
