Juve: Marchisio to renew. Inter: Konoplyanka farther
As explained by calciomercato.com, awaiting for 35-year-old Andrea Pirlo to recover, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is using 28-year-old Claudio Marchisio as a playmaker; when the former AC Milan player will be back on the pitch, Marchisio will have to compete with Pogba, Vidal and Pereyra for a place in the bianconeri’s midfield, but the Italy international is henceforth considered a key player, so the Piedmont’s club could decide to extend the player’s deal, actually expiring in June 2016. Meanwhile, during an interview accorded to Radio Rai, the Serie A defending champions’ General Manager Giuseppe Marotta has declared that he has never tried to sign 24-year-old striker Mario Balotelli, now at Liverpool; Marotta has also assured to be happy with the current team, but if there will be the possibility to improve it during the next transfer window, the club will eventually make an investment. The bianconeri, for example, are seeking a defender, and, as well as Inter Milan, are keen on FC Basel 22-year-old Fabian Schar, valued about 13 million euros. The nerazzurri are also seeking a winger, and, as reported in the last days, are keen on Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 25-year-old Jevhen Konoplayanka, but the Ukraine international is also tracked by Fiorentina.
