    Mancini to Shanghai Greenland: manager denies rumours

    Marcello Lippi has told Il Corriere dello Sport that Chinese club Shanghai Greenland want to hire Roberto Mancini as their new boss, but the Italian tactician has denied that he’s going to move to China as his priority is get a new job in Europe.

    The Italian manager was sacked by Inter in August and had been linked with replacing Sam Allardyce as England National team boss, though Gareth Southgate is now believed to have persuaded the FA to give him the England job.

    Talking to Italian media, Mancini said: “No thanks, I am not planning to go to China. My main target is to coach in Europe.”

    Mancini’s last spell at Inter was his only one without a trophy. The Italian tactician has won one Premier League title, one FA Cup and one Charity Shiled with Manchester City, three Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia and two Italian Supercups with Inter, one Coppa Italia with Fiorentina and Lazio and one Turkish cup with Galatasaray.
