Mancini: ‘Ready to resign if Inter don’t want me’

Roberto Mancini and Inter seem not to be on good terms anymore. The Italian tactician showed his frustration for the club’s transfer strategies yesterday and he has told Guerin Sportivo that he’s ready to resign if Inter don’t want him anymore.

Calciomercato.com, however, has exclusively learned that Mancini is not willing to resign and want to be the nerazzurri boss next season, here’s what he told the Italian football magazine.

“Investors from China are coming here to win. They’ve had a good impact, there is enthusiasm there are no other alternatives if we are to compete with the biggest European sides.”

“FFP rules are ridiculous, why should they punish solid clubs with solid ownerships behind them? Why imposing sanctions on solid clubs even if those are with debts? Inter will be penalized this season and I hope the club will be free to work without being conditioned. There are many interesting prospects out there like Berardi or Gabriel Jesus, but one should mix young and experienced players.”

“I’ve always said I love Inter too much to betray them. I don’t want to be a problem, if they don’t want me I am ready to resign.”

Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport reports that Leonardo could be a potential replacement of Mancini should the former Man City boss hand his resignation in with Laurent Blanc, Franck De Boer and Cesare Prandelli also in race.
