Mancini: "Fourth place is merited, now we must not make mistakes in the transfer market"

After seeing his team beat Empoli 2-1 earlier today to confirm fourth place in Serie A, Inter coach Roberto Mancini spoke to Mediaset Premium. He declared that; "If we had done everything perfectly and not made mistakes then we would not have finished fourth. In the end however, this is where we deserve to finish. It remains our best season for five years which is also good and I thank the supporters for their backing; next season I hope we can make them happier".

    TRANSFER MARKET

Mancini continued; "At this moment, the gap between us and Juventus is enormous and to narrow the gap Inter and the other teams must improve". The coach was then asked if it was midfield reinforcements he was focusing on, he replied; "I've not asked for anyone at the moment, it's difficult to say at the moment where we will strengthen. We are trying to build a competitive squad so we must not make mistakes in the market".
