The first signing of the Jose Mourinho era at Manchester United is Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal. The 22-year-old will arrive at Old Trafford for a fee of around €40 million and will sign a four-year contract with the club, subject to receiving a work-permit.

Mourinho welcomed the player to Manchester, declaring that; “Eric is a young central defender with immense talent. He is already very strong but he has the potential to get even better, I can’t wait to start working with him to develop his talent”.
