Manchester United join Chelsea, PSG in race to sign Brazilian starlet

Looks like Thiago Maia is everybody’s cup of tea at the moment as the best European clubs are being linked with welcoming the player’s services in the January transfer window. The U-23 Brazil International is available for € 20 million and both Chelsea and PSG are reportedly open to match the player’s price-tag.

According to ESPN Brazil, however, Manchester United have also joined the race to sign the promising midfielder with José Mourinho who is reported to be willing to match the player’s price-tag.

Manchester United are looking for midfield reinforcement in January given that both Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger are not part of the Special One’s long term plans at the Old Trafford and are being linked with leaving the Red Devils in the January transfer window.

The German midfielder is wanted by some MLS clubs, whilst Schneiderlin could either move to another Premier League club or complete a permanent transfer abroad with Juventus that are said to be monitoring the Frenchman’s situation. The Old Lady is also interested in signing Thiago Maia, though the Serie A giants do not want to enter a bidding war with other European clubs.
