Man City pounce on €30m Chelsea, Juventus midfield target to replace Gundogan

Manchester City are looking for a replacement for injured Germany star Inlay Gundogan and, according to Estadio Deportivo, they are interested in signing € 30 million Chelsea and Juventus target Steven N’Zonzi.

Former Borussia Dortmund star Ilkay Gundogan picked up a knee injury earlier last week and is being ruled out of action for several months. With Manchester City still involved in race to win the Premier and the Champions League, Guardiola is desperate to sign some midfield reinforcement that can help him to replace the highly rated German star.

N’Zonzi, who is under contract with Sevilla until 2019, has a € 30 million release clause included in his contract with the LaLiga giants. Juventus are interested in signing the player, but are not likely to make an opening bid in January as the French midfielder can’t play the Champions League and the Serie A giants are not open to invest as much to play him just in league games.

Chelsea are also looking for midfield reinforcement, but Conte has yet to decide whether to meet the player’s € 30 million release clause.
