Napoli: the club for sale? Roma: Maicon to renew

Napoli are going through an extremely difficult period, and part of the problems could be due to the tense relations between the first team’s coach Rafa Benitez and president Aurelio De Laurentiis: as reported by Il Mattino, the Spaniard is unhappy with his club’s new signings, and this is why in the first games of the season he has used only one of his new players; on the other hand, as revealed to Tiki Taka by transfer market expert Raffaele Auriemma, De Laurentiis has flown to the United States to find some investors or even somebody interested in buying the majority of the club’s shares. Also some players, still according to Il Mattino, even some players –including Gonzalo Higuain, Raul Albiol and José Marìa Callejòn- are feeling unhappy; moreover, 25-year-old Chilean forward Eduardo Vargas, actually on loan at Queens Park Rangers, has declared that he would like to remain in England.
After Gervinho, AS Roma would also like to renew the contract of 33-year-old full back Maicon: as revealed by calciomercato.com, the two parties have already been in talks for one month, and the Brazil international should extend his deal for one more year and earn about 2 million euros per season.
