Luiz Adriano set for January exit as Milan look to free up cash for midfield reinforcement

Luiz Adriano could leave AC Milan after having spent only six month at San Siro as he joined the Rossoneri from Shaktar Donetsk last summer for € 8 million.

The Brazilian is not on Sinisa Mihajlovic’s good book despite being the club’s leading scorer after Carlos Bacca (and alongside Jack Bonaventura) with five goals netted in all competitions.

During yesterday’s home defeat at hand of relegation contenders Bologna, Luiz Adriano came off the bench with just ten minutes to go despite Carlos Bacca and M’Baye Niang’s wastefulness in front of goal.

Add to it that Mario Balotelli and Jeremy Menez will probably recover from their injuries before the beginning of February  (not to mansion KP Boateng’s recent signing) and it become quite clear that the 28-year-old striker is not untouchable at Milan.

As we previously reported, Luiz Adriano has already turned down Krasnodar’s offer but another Russian side could approach Milan over the player’s transfer very soon, calciomercato.com’s Serie A pundit Federico Albrizio has revealed.

CSKA Moscow, in fact, are interested in signing him to replace Roma’s departing loanee Seydou Doumbia.

According to Albrizio Milan would sell the player for an offer in the region of € 10-12 million, in order to free up cash to invest on a strong central midfielder, with the likes of Roberto Soriano and Etienne Capoue who have been recently linked with the Rossoneri and whose price tag is in the region of € 15 million.
