Liverpool target Belotti agrees to insert release clause in new Torino contract

Torino striker Andrea Belotti is blazing a trail with the granata this term.

Not only he has netted five goals in the opening seven games, he also made senior Italy national team debut earlier this month, scoring his first ever goal with the azzurri shirt. As of today, he’s the best Italian centre-forward out there alongside Lazio’s Ciro Immobile.

Granata and biancocelesti will meet tomorrow in one of the most interesting Serie A games of the day.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, the 22-year-old striker has agreed to insert a release clause in his new contract with the club.

The Italian paper claims that the clause should be somewhere around sixty and ninety million euro.
New contract talks have just begun, but an agreement between the two parties doesn’t seem to be a big deal. Belotti’s agent will meet the club next week. The player is set to sign a new, long-term contract with a pay rise.

According to reports from England, Belotti is being scouted by Liverpool and is one of the possible transfer targets of Jurgen Klopp.
