    Liverpool, Milan target Kovacic ‘not leaving Real Madrid’ says agent

    Mateo Kovacic is not going to leave Real Madrid this summer, the player’s agent has claimed. Talking to Sportske Novosti, Nikki Vuksan has said: “I haven’t talked to Real Madrid because there is no need. Mateo will work hard to get game time at Real Madrid like every other player. No one has a place guaranteed in the starting XI at the club, apart from Cristiano.”

    “Rumours are normal during this time of the year, but Kovacic is under contract with Real Madrid and the manager believes in him. Each player has to prove he deserves game time and doing it at Real Madrid is even more difficult that in any other club.”

    Kovacic joined Real Madrid last summer in a € 30 million deal from Inter. AC Milan and Liverpool are rumore to be interested in welcoming the player’s services, though the Reds have just completed the signing of Georgino Wijnaldum.
