Leonardo: 'Zanetti is great. Muntari must decide on his future'
"He's incredible, someone should write a scientific article on him". Leonardo praised his captain, Xavier Zanetti. The Brazilian coach said in a press conference on the eve of the match against Bologna: "Zanetti’s dedication, the way in which he plays games, is incredible. Even when it comes to recovering from games he is always number one. Tomorrow he’ll reach another record and will equal Bergomi’s 519 games in the Serie A with the Inter colours: he’s great.”
On Bologna: “The first few games were very important, even to give us an indication of where we are; nevertheless all are important games in our progress and now we are focused on Bologna, a team which is on form and which we will need to be very wary of. “My voice? I lose it because I need to feel close to the team,” smiled Leonardo, who then continued by talking of Coutinho’s and Julio Cesar’s condition: “Everything is progressing in the best way possible. Coutinho is slightly ahead compared to Julio Cesar, but it is not a long term injury.”
“Ranocchia gave a very good performance in the Coppa Italia, but it is also true there are many on form players for that position: he is available and then we shall make our choices”
"Muntari is not a case. Sulley is important for the team, not only as a player but also on a human level. The team loves him, they want to protect him and help him. I spoke to him very clearly, what's important is to have enthusiasm and desire, then there are the technical decisions. Today he was not called up because first he needs to decide what he wants to do in the future for Inter's best."
