Leonardo: 'I'm ready to come back. Inter have a great project'

The former Inter and AC Milan boss Leonardo, who has recently worked as a Sporting Director for Paris Saint-Germain, told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “It’s time for me to start again. I don’t exclude any option, I have been out for too long. With which role? Well, I could be a coach with a management experience or an executive who understands what’s going on on the pitch.”
“There is no business without a team”, he added. “The Asian investors who are coming to Europe must remember this. Great clubs like Inter and AC Milan won’t need much to get back to the top. I wasn’t in Milan for the Champions League final: seeing two Spanish teams dominating at San Siro was a shock. But I am sure that the two Lombard team will recover soon. If Inter have decided to bet on such an important group, it means that they have a great project.”
Regarding Silvio Berlusconi, the Brazilian said: “He hasn’t done the first step, I don’t know if he will do the second one right away. For Moratti it was easier, he had already yielded the club to a foreign group. I don’t know if Berlusconi will start to invest again or if he will sell his club too, for sure he is doing all he can to help Milan. It’s not easy to leave something that you care of, but he know perfectly the financial situation.”
