    Leicester City target Josip Ilicic unhappy at Fiorentina

    Fiorentina attacking midfielder Josip Ilicic is not in the form of his life. The 28-year-old Slovenia International has just two assist in the opening eight games of the season and La Viola seem to be eager to sell him to the best bidder either in January or June.

    Ilicic, who was chased by Leicester City last summer, did not leave the Franchi in the past transfer window and was promised a contract extension until 2021.

    ​Trouble is, Fiorentina executives have failed to make contact with the former Palermo star and the player is not happy anymore at the club. Ilicic could leave in January if the right offer arrives, but he’s more likely to leave Fiorentina once the season ends.

    Fiorentina boss Paulo Sousa has also recently revealed that the club have already found the right replacement for Ilicic and his name is Ianis Hagi. Son of former Romania star Gheroghe, Hagi made Serie A debut last week-end in Fiorentina’s 5-3 away win to Cagliari.
