Paredes’ latest performance against Liverpool is probably the last proof Spalletti needed in order to keep the former Empoli in the squad. Paredes showed off his skills and personality during the clash against Liverpool, proving that he could become the natural heir of Miralem Pjanic, maybe even in the short term.
Spalletti has asked the club not to sell him before the Champions League play off stage, though the Italian tactician has probably already decided that he doesn’t want to do without the talented 22-year-old for the entire duration of the next campaign.
