Lazio to dump Keita Balde for Cerci, Juve swap with Pjaca on the cards
It appears that Keita Balde Diao’s time at Lazio could well be nearing the end, if our recent Fabrizio Romano report is anything to go by.
Our transfer pundit claims that the former Barcelona youth is far from convinced by the idea of remaining in Rome, despite beginning this season very well under Simone Inzaghi.
The young Spanish-Senegalese striker doesn’t get on well with Lazio’s hierarchy, who is both trying to offer him a new deal (his current one expires in 2018)… and find an alternative to him.
If our colleagues at CM.it are accurate, Cerci could leave Atletico Madrid on a free this winter, and would be the perfect replacement for Keita while he plays in the African Cup of Nations. The Corriere dello Sport are now claiming that the two sides are close to finding an agreement, which will see the former Torino star join on a loan with option to buy.
It’s not as if Keita has no admirers, with Premier League clubs, AC Milan… and even Juventus waiting for him.
In fact, the Corriere (via juvenews.eu) now thinks that the Senegalese striker could be swapped for youngster Marko Pjaca, who has found playing time very hard to come by in Turin so far.
