La Repubblica: Vidal met Pogba in a Brazilian restaurant after Juventus game
A few days ago, we reported that Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal had left his hotel in the middle of the night, just a few hours after his team had drawn 2-2 with Juventus in Turin.
La Repubblica's Maurizio Crosetti has since reported that Vidal ended up in a Brazilian restaurant, a churrascaria known for its privacy, and for once hosting Ronaldinho until 4am. The former Seleccao star had just netted a brace against Juventus, and spent all night playing the surdo a form of drum, as he was also celebrating his birthday.
The Bild had initially reported on the story, but Crosetti also discovered that Vidal's old barber (who is based in Nichelino, 8 miles south-west of Turin) has also been informed of the party. What happened? It turns out that the Chilean wasn't the only person who went out. He was accompanied by David Alaba, Rafinha, Franck Ribery, Kingsley Coman, Douglas Costa and Thiago Alcantara. Considering that the locale they ended up in (The Copacabana) specializes in, erm, celebrating the end of celibacy, we can safely say that this was the most talented stag night we've seen in a while.
The churrascaria is in Southern Mirafiori, and is a favourite haunt of both Juventus and Torino players, who come here to eat, dance and take their minds off football. Despite the owner, Jocely, fiercely denying everything, social media has already seen the uploading of a signed Rafinha shirt... posted by one of the waitresses there.
Diego, Tiago, Sissoko, Pinga, Heriberto, Zalayeta. The are some of the names of the shirts which are plastered all over the walls. "They're all out friends" says Jocely "Vidal is a poor kid who is being chased around by gossip, but he's actually a great guy".
Guess who joined them? Paul Pogba, who loves the food here, and tends to come here often enough with the lady he loves. No, not his girlfriend... his mother! Paul and Arturo shared a massive bear hug at the end of the evening, before everyone called it a night.
