Walter Samuel's injury has complicated Inters defense. The Nerazzurri will run for cover in January to try to solidify the defense and the principal idea is to bring Andrea Ranocchia to Milan this winter.

To get Genoa to let the neo-national player go six months in advance, Inter would be willing to put on the table two promising young players: Davide Santon, rarely seen by Benitez  this season and Jonathan Biabiany, six times in the starting line up with the Nerazzurro shirt.

Good relations between the two clubs could then do the rest for finalizing the deal.
