Kia lands in Milan to deal with Gabigol, potential Liga loan on the horizon
Are the vultures circling over Inter marquee signing Gabigol?
The Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Brazilian playmaker’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, has arrived in Milan with Suning, the club’s owners.
Beyond tonight’s game against Fiorentina, it appears that their priority is working out what to do with the former Santos man, signed to much fanfare in the Pirelli auditorium, only to play a mere sixteen minutes in the Serie A.
As far as Italy’s main sports broadsheet knows, it looks like the loan option is not be excluded: the 20-year-old would, at least, get the chance to play consistently.
But who would be interested in his services? The names of Pescara and Empoli (two “allied” clubs”) are often linked to the Brazilian, but it looks like the Spanish Liga (where Philippe Coutinho earned rave reviews on loan to Espanyol) is Joobarabchian’s favourite destination.
Gabigol was signed for a fee reported to be in the region of €25 million, having scored 12 goals in 2016 for Santos, five in the Brasileirao.
