Kevin-Prince Boateng: 'Ronaldinho better than Pelè', 'Nothing has changed with racism'
Kevin-Prince Boateng is never a boring interview.
Speaking to Fox Sports, the Ghanaian international and former Milan favourite revealed that there has been no progress in football's war on racism.
Having spoken about his brother Jerome (“If my brother and Thiago Silva played together, they’d never concede… and score four or five!”), the ex Portsmouth man claimed that “nothing has changed".
"It’s a battle that shouldn’t be fought once, but day by day. Nobody has done what I have done against it.
"But they removed me from the Champions League [anti-racism] spot, which makes me laugh”.
KPB, who has since relaunched his career at UD Las Palmas in Spain, also has some interesting opinions on former team-mate Ronaldinho.
“Ronaldinho is the best player with whom I have played. When he arrived at Milan he didn’t really have a huge motor, or he was tired, and he wasn’t the Dinho of yesteryear.
“But when he wanted to, he showed us what he was capable of. That one day a month he showed everyone that he was the best player in the world.
"Better than Zidane, Pelè and Maradona. If you played six on six and you were on his team and he was up for it, you would definitely win.
“If he hadn’t had fun the night before [hintety hint! ed], he would name players and then nutmeg them. He would say he’d hit the bar three times, and he’d do it”.
