Juve: in talks for Gilardino. AC Milan: Astori unlikely to join
Juventus are trying to complete their team in these last hours of the Summer transfer window: one of their main target remains Cagliari 26 year old midfielder Radja Nainggolan; the Belgium international, after last night’s game against AC Milan, has not flown back to Sardinia with the rest of his team to meet the Piedmontese club’s executives; but, as reported by the Corriere dello Sport, there has been no meetings between the two clubs; according to the latest rumours, the Sardinian club’s president Massimo Cellino has already left Milan. On the contrary, as highlighted by calciomercato.com, the meeting between the bianconeri, AS Roma and Genoa for the transfer of Fabio Quagliarella to Rome, Marco Borriello to the Ligurian club and Alberto Gilardino to Turin is proceeding well. Meanwhile, the Serie A defending champions have yielded many of their players: 23 year old midfielder Luca Marrone in co-ownership to Sassuolo as part of a swap involving 19 year old striker Domenico Berardi, 29 year old winger Jorge Martinez on loan to Novara, and 22 year old forward Mbaye Diagne to Ajaccio, still on loan.
The fact that Cellino has left the transfer market’s headquarter could also mean that AC Milan won’t be able to sign the rossoblu’s defender Davide Astori. The Lombard club, to reinforce its defense, is now thinking about a swap with AS Roma involving 31 year old Cristian Zaccardo and 32 year old Nicolas Burdisso.
