The champions start the defence of their Serie A crown with a home game against bitter rivals Fiorentina on Saturday night. 
 

An injury to new signing Miralem Pjanic in Wednesday’s "Juve Day" celebrations has forced coach Massimo Allegri to include Gabon international Mario Lemina in his starting XI. The 22-year-old looks to be surplus to requirements in Turin and has been linked with a host of clubs including Leicester City and West Ham, but this latest setback to Pjanic has given the youngster an opportunity to impress. Sami Khedira is fit enough to play and should come into a five-man midfield alongside Lemina, Lichtsteiner, Asamoah and Alex Sandro with new signing Dani Alves waiting in the wings. Allegri has a big decision to make up-front between Mario Mandsukic and record signing Gonzalo Higuain; the Croatian’s fitness probably giving him the advantage.Other summer acquisitions Medhi Benatia and Marko Pjaca will also probably start with a watching brief.  

For La Viola, Borja Valero is not full-fit and will start on the substitutes bench; Italian striker Giuseppe Rossi looks likely to start up-front with Nikola Kalinic, as coach Paulo Sousa goes like for like with his opposite number deploying a 3-5-2 formation. New signing Sebastian De Maio, who only arrived from Anderlecht 48 hours ago, will start the match on the substitutes bench.
