Juventus to make first approach to PSG for Matuidi
As CM.com pundit Nicola Balice points out, the real replacement of Pogba has already arrived at the club and he’s Miralem Pjanic, last year’s best Serie A assist-man alongside the Frenchman. Massimiliano Allegri, however, needs to add depth and quality to the midfield after the departure of Pogba and PSG’s Blaise Matuidi seems to be the number one target of the Old Lady.
Allgri informed Marotta and Paratici that he’d not block the Frenchman’s arrival at the J Stadium and that Nemanja Matic is another of those players that he’d be glad to coach next season. However, whilst the Serbian midfielder’s Stamford Bridge exit is blocked by Conte, Matuidi has already informed PSG that he wants to leave the club and look for a new challenge.
Calciomercato.com has exclusively learned that Juventus used Paul Pogba’s negotiations to ask Matuidi’s agent Mino Raiola information about the PSG ace.
Raiola informed Juventus that the transfer of Matuidi could be a plausible solution, though PSG want at least € 45 million and are not going apply any reduction as the two clubs are not on good terms after that Juventus signed Kingsley Coman as a free agent three years ago.
Juventus will make contact with PSG in the next few weeks, trying to make an attempt also for Marco Verratti who, however, has just extended his contract with the French club and is not going to leave PSG in the summer despite the interest of both the bianconeri and Real Madrid.
