Juventus to close agreement for promising Italian centre-back today
The Serie A table leaders are set to pay € 15 million plus € 5 million bonus to welcome the player’s services. Caldara, 22, will move to Juventus at the beginning of the 2018/19 campaign, but could move on loan to a bigger club than Atalanta once the current season ends.
Juventus, however, are destined to miss out on a key midfielder target as Franck Kessié is set to move to the Premier League at the end of the season with Chelsea and Tottenham that are in pole position to sign the 19-year-old Ivory Coast International.
Meantime, Marotta will finalize the signing of Caldara during today’s general meeting of the Italian FA. Caldara is not the only Atalanta youngster on Juventus’ sights as the Old Lady is also interested in signing Roberto Gagliardini (centre midfielder) and Andrea Conti.
