Serie A, Juventus set new defensive record

Juventus have only allowed four goals in nine games in all competitions so far, confirming that the Old Lady builds her successes on the organization of the defence.

These figures become even more impressive if we consider that the bianconeri have allowed two goals against Inter, which means they’ve only conceded goals in three of their opening nine games this season.

After their last 3-0 win at expenses of Empoli, Juventus have set a new defensive record.

They are the European club that have allowed the fewest shots on target so far, allowing their opponents to make just 10 attempts towards Gianluigi Buffon’s goal.
The Old Lady are the less beaten defence in Serie A, though their direct rivals Napoli have the most prolific attack of the league with 15 goals scored in the opening six games.

Juventus have allowed four goals in Serie A and have yet to concede a goal in Champions League games this season.
